Former minister staged protest with farmers regarding Jalore problems

Jalore : Former Minister Sukhram Bishnoi staged a symbolic protest outside Jalore District Collectorate regarding the problems of farmers and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister to the District Collector. Addressing the dharna, former minister Sukhram Bishnoi said that the Narmada Department is stretched to provide Narmada water till the tail end for irrigation, in such a situation neither the canals are being monitored nor is anyone listening to the problems of the farmers. . It was told in the memorandum that approximately 1800-2000 cusecs of water is required in Narmada Canal. Last year in the same season, 1800 to 2000 cusecs of water was flowing, now only 1400 cusecs of water is flowing. He demanded to give more water. So that water can reach the tail. Extra water of Narmada should be released into the river. So that farmers can get water from the places where water is not available from the canal for the rainy season. Farmers who did not get Rabi crop insurance last year should be provided insurance immediately.

It has been almost two years since 2478 farmers deposited the demand amount for agricultural connection in the subdivision areas, but the goods for electricity connection are not being provided to those farmers. In all the subdivisions of Sanchore district, about 4700 consumers have deposited the demand amount for domestic connection files in the department two years ago, the materials including poles, cables and transformers are not being provided by the department. In Sanchore, Bhadroona, Chitalwana, 100-100 transformers of agricultural connection are burnt and were deposited in the department about one and a half to two months ago. Due to slow construction of the flyover in Sanchore city and no water being poured on the work under construction, all traders and common people have to face problems due to blowing of mud throughout the day. It was told in the memorandum that if the demands are not accepted, a big agitation will be organized at the District Collectorate after seven days.
