Jhalawar : Rajasthan, where there is an uproar over the non-issuance of experience certificates in the recruitment of sanitation workers in municipal bodies. A different kind of game has taken place in Bhawani Mandi Municipality of Jhalawar district. Here, fake experience certificates are being sold through placement agencies working in the municipality. Corruption is so extreme that Bhawanimandi Municipality employees, in collaboration with the placement agency, are issuing fake certificates of sanitation workers. Bhawanimandi Municipality has appointed 60 sweepers from placement agencies, while these agencies have issued certificates to 163 people. Most of these people have never worked in the city council.
This is how fake certificates were distributed
Despite having more than 150 permanent sweepers in Bhawanimandi Municipality, 60 sweepers have been appointed through placement agencies. These placement agencies have issued 163 sweeper experience certificates in this financial year. Apart from the placement agency owner, these certificates are also stamped with the signatures of the sanitation inspector and executive officer of the municipality, the people to whom the certificates have been issued. Except a few of them, the rest have never worked as sweepers in the municipality. Haven’t done it. Many of these people are from other districts also and many are working at other places. But the placement agencies and the municipality employees together issued him a certificate to work as a sweeper in the municipality for one year.
Certificates issued without checking anything
This gang of Bhawanimandi Municipality distributed experience certificates of sanitation workers to people who had nothing to do with the municipality and sanitation. Such people also include barbers, mechanics, auto drivers, event workers and cart drivers. Apart from this, there are some people who are working as computer operators or doing other work through placement agencies in other departments including Indira Rasoi. Such people are also collecting honorarium from there. Many girls who are already living in their in-laws’ houses after marriage before the year 2023-24, were also given experience certificates.
Nepotism at its peak
Most of the people who got fake experience certificates include brothers, nephews and relatives of Bhawani Mandi Municipality employees. Those who took fake certificates include the son of the driver of the Municipal Corporation Chairman himself, a clerk and the son of another employee. Brothers, nephews or other relatives of some councilors and relatives of placement agency operators are also involved. The extent of fraud can be gauged from the fact that two certificates were issued to one person.
Recruitment is to be held in December
On behalf of the Autonomous Government Department, recruitment will be done in the month of December as per the requirement in all the local bodies, in which one year experience of working as a sweeper has been sought. Due to which people working in local bodies and placement agencies are taking experience certificates. But under the guise of this, the business of making fake certificates by making huge money transactions is also going on in full swing.
Municipal President unaware of this
Chairman of Bhawani Mandi Municipality Kailash Bohra first expressed ignorance about the entire matter, then he said that if any such case has happened then it will be investigated and fair action will be taken.
