Gandhi Jayanti holiday cancelled, orders to run regular classes in this university

Jaipur : 154th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi is being celebrated on 2nd October. On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday, October 2 is a holiday in the entire country. It has been declared a national holiday by the government. On October 2, everything from government institutions to private institutions, schools and colleges will remain closed. Rajasthan government has also declared October 2 as a state holiday. There will be holiday in schools and colleges including government and private institutions of Rajasthan. However, the holiday of October 2 has been canceled in Rajasthan University.

The holiday of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary i.e. 2nd October has been canceled in Rajasthan University and its affiliated colleges. For this, a guideline has been issued by Rajasthan Raj Bhavan on 1 October. Under this, the leave already issued by Rajasthan University administration has been cancelled.

Regular classes will run on October 2

In the order issued by Rajasthan University, it has been said that it has been decided to conduct regular classes in the colleges affiliated to the university on Wednesday (October 2). In this regard, the university administration has said that after the order received from Raj Bhavan Jaipur, changes have been made in the pre-determined calendar of holidays. In which the holiday of October 2 has been cancelled.

No holiday but Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti will be celebrated

The university administration has said that the holiday of October 2 has been cancelled. But Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary will be celebrated in the college. For this, along with classes, a cleanliness campaign program will be organized in the university campus on Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. Let us tell you, earlier Rajasthan University used to observe a holiday on October 2 on Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. But this time this holiday has been cancelled.
