Gehlot surrounded CM Bhajanlal over power cuts, said this big thing

Jaipur : Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan and senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot has accused the state government of creating chaos in the state with electricity and water. He said that the people of the state are suffering due to unannounced power cuts. Gehlot said this in his statement on Friday. He said that the power minister should pay attention to this because the people troubled by humidity and mosquitoes due to this power cut want to know why there is chaos in Rajasthan with electricity and water for the last eight months.

He said that the Chief Minister of Rajasthan (CM Bhajan Lal Sharma) posted on social media on July 12 that the Chhattisgarh government has granted permission to use 91.21 hectares of forestland of Parsa East and Kanta Basan (PEKB) coal block operated in Hasdeo Aranya Coalfield. The Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh says in front of the media that there is nothing like this, he (Rajasthan Chief Minister) has made a mistake. Gehlot said that the Rajasthan Chief Minister’s Office does not respond to the comments of the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, on which the opposition raised questions.

The answer from the Energy Minister on these questions is that the site clearance permission for 91 hectares of PEKB land was given on 12/12/23 last year. Out of this, 26 hectares of land was given to the Rajasthan government on 19/1/24 and 30 hectares of land on 22/3/24. Clearance has been received for the remaining 34 hectares of land and this land will be given to the Rajasthan government soon. He said that the Power Minister claims that in the social media post of the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, some more incomplete requests have been requested to be completed, to which the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh gave this answer.

CM office should answer

He said that there are some questions in the minds of the people of Rajasthan which should be answered by the Chief Minister’s Office. If permission to use 91 hectares of land was granted in December 2023 itself, then why was it posted on social media on 12 July 2024. Journalists had asked the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh a direct question regarding the social media post and thanking for permission to mine coal on 91 hectares of land of PEKB, the video of which is also in the public, in response to which the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh said that there is no such thing, nothing like this has happened, he must have made a mistake. Should the CM Office of Rajasthan clarify whether this social media post happened by mistake or the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh is speaking lies due to local politics there. He said that just as the MoU of Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) is still being hidden from the public and the Assembly and the public is being misled, the same situation seems to be in the case of electricity as well.
