Gehlot’s former OSD’s problems will increase in phone tapping case, crime branch will come to Jaipur to investigate

Jaipur News Desk: The investigation into the much talked about phone tapping case of Rajasthan has now gained momentum. After the arrest of Lokesh Sharma in Delhi, now the Crime Branch team is going to come to Jaipur to investigate the phone tapping case. However, due to anticipatory bail, Lokesh Sharma got immediate relief. But the evidence provided by Lokesh Sharma during the Crime Branch inquiry is being investigated. It is believed that the Crime Branch team will soon come to Delhi to verify the statements of Lokesh Sharma and investigate the evidence. The direction of investigation will now be decided on the basis of the statements given by Lokesh Sharma.

The statement was changed after the change of power

In this entire episode, Lokesh Sharma had initially informed the crime branch about getting the audio from social media. But after the change of power in Rajasthan, Lokesh Sharma changed his statements. Lokesh Sharma, in his statements to the Crime Branch, said that these audios were made available to him by the then CM Ashok Gehlot. He only followed instructions as OSD. The audio, pen drive and laptop handed over to the Crime Branch by Lokesh Sharma have not been tampered with or edited in any way. FSL investigation is being conducted to investigate this. Only after investigation will the further direction in the entire matter be decided.

The petition for stay on bail was withdrawn

In March 2021, Delhi Police had filed an FIR against Sharma on charges of criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust and illegally tapping telephone conversations on Shekhawat’s complaint. Lokesh Sharma had recently withdrawn his petition from the High Court demanding cancellation of the FIR. Lokesh Sharma had said that during the interrogation on September 25, he had recorded his statement to the Delhi Police. He had said that evidence in this regard has also been handed over.
