Chhapra, 20 November (IANS). The ‘Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana’ (PMBJP) being run by the Narendra Modi government at the Center is proving to be very beneficial for the general public. This scheme is also benefiting the people in Chhapra district of Bihar.
In Chhapra, Bihar, the Jan Aushadhi Centers built in the city under ‘Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana’ are proving to be a boon for the common people. This scheme of the Central Government is being appreciated a lot. Under this, generic medicines are being available to all sections of people at cheaper rates, due to which their financial burden is being reduced significantly.
The people benefiting from this scheme believe that all the medicines available from Jan Aushadhi Kendra are effective and useful. He has also appealed that the Central Government should open more such centers so that these medicines can be available at other places also.
Manoj Kumar, a person who took medicines from Jan Aushadhi Kendra, while talking to INS, praised this scheme. He said that earlier we used to get sold in buying medicines, but this is very beneficial. The medicine which was earlier available for Rs 400, is now available for Rs 36. The poor are benefiting a lot from this.
He further said that this scheme is very good for the welfare of the poor. He said that it is not that if the medicine is cheap then it is not beneficial. The medicine is equally beneficial. Private doctors also say that there is no shortage in the medicine. The beneficiary further said that he has told many people about it.
A woman who came to the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra to get medicine told that her husband is a diabetes patient. She takes medicines for them from here. He told that the insulin which is available here costs Rs 340, whereas outside we get around Rs 550. All the medicines in our house come from here, if any medicine is not available here, then it has to be bought from outside. Those who do not have money should take medicine from here.
Another person Latifu Rahman told IANS that medicines are available at 80 to 75 percent lower prices at Jan Aushadhi Kendra. There is a lot of benefit from this. However, people still have less information about it. In such a situation, the government should run an awareness campaign for this.
The shopkeeper told that it started in January 2024. People are very happy that they can get medicines at low cost. People benefit a lot from this.
