History of Nahargarh Fort
According to the Rajasthan Tourism website, Nahargarh Fort is situated on a peak of the Aravalli Hills. This fort was built in 1734 during the reign of Jai Singh and was later expanded in the year 1868. Nahargarh means the abode of tigers. This fort was built specifically to protect Jaipur against invading enemies. This fort remains a center of attraction all over the world even today and people from India and abroad come here in large numbers to admire its beauty.

Nahargarh Fort is also called haunted
Earlier the name of this fort was Sudarshangarh, but later this fort was named after Yuvraj Nahar Singh who was killed at this place. Actually, the ghost of the prince wanted that this fort should be named after him. Famous for its beauty, this fort is also famous for its ghostly story. It is said that during the construction of the fort, many such activities used to happen, due to which the workers here were forced to run away in fear. Actually, people say that whatever work the workers did in this fort, it used to get destroyed the next day, due to which the construction work of the palace could not be completed and the workers used to get very scared.
The fort is famous for shooting Bollywood films
Apart from tourism, this fort is also very famous for shooting Bollywood films. Actor Aamir Khan starrer film Rang De Basanti was shot here. Since then, this fort became more famous among the people. Later, late actor Sushant Singh Rajput also shot here for his film Shuddh Desi Romance.
