Churu : located on Bikaner Road in Churu Sardarshahar and right in front of Adarsh ​​Girls Hostel, the building of Government Girls College has been completed at a cost of Rs 4.35 crore. Presently Government Girls College is running in Seth SBD College. Principal of Government Girls College, Dr. Yogesh Chahar said that in the budget announcement made by the Chief Minister for the year 2021-22, an amount of Rs 4.35 crore was approved for the construction of the building.

Principal of Girls College, Dr. Chahar said that the college building has been constructed with total facilities of 23255 square feet. He told that the ground floor has been built in 12374 square feet and the first floor has been built in 10881 square feet. 5 class rooms, 1 principal room, 1 fee counter room and an office room will be built on the ground floor. A total of 5 separate toilets will be built for male, female, disabled and staff. A common room will be made for girl students. There will be a room for staff and faculty. Similarly, 3 class rooms, 1 geography lab and 1 conference hall will be built on the first floor. A total of 4 separate toilets will be built.

490 girl students are studying

Principal Dr. Yogesh Chahar said that currently a total of 490 girl students are studying in the college. He told that the college arts faculty operates in two sections. In which 7 subjects are available for the students, which include Hindi Literature, English Literature, Home Science, Geography, Psychology, Public Administration subjects. Whereas in the present crisis, if science departments along with history, political science and sociology are opened, then the daughters here will get the opportunity to pursue higher education.
