Glimpse of folk culture seen in Alwar procession, Kutchi Ghodi dance fascinated people

Alwar : As part of Alwar Matsya Utsav, a procession was taken out from Hope Circus on Tuesday. The splendor of folk culture was visible in it. Folk artistes from different states of the country enthralled everyone with their dance performances. Bijendra Singh of Sikar made the camel-untani dance happen in the procession. Sikandar Khan of Bharatpur sang and danced Kanha Barsane Mein Aa Jaiyo along with Bamarsia group. Six brothers joined the Akram impersonation group from Bandikui in different forms. Firoz, Farid, Naushad, Salim etc. were dressed as a genie, clown, dacoit and bear.

The team of 8 Bikaners who came from Bikaner were attracting everyone with their long moustaches. Kanwarlal Chauhan had a seven-inch mustache which reached till his knees, with three and a half inches on either side. During the programme, he showed many stunts with his long moustache, which were liked very much. The procession reached Sagar via Tripolia, Jagannath ji temple. During this, many groups including Kachhi Ghodi dance, Chakri dance, Gair dance, Bhangra gave their presentations. A large number of women participated in the yatra in traditional attire. After this, a lamp garland program took place at Sagar, in which the common people also donated lamps. Here Matsya Utsav was written with lamps.

Holi of flowers in Mathura adds colour: Cultural programs took place in the evening in Mahal Chowk. The program started with Bhangra dance by Raman Garg group, which showcased the culture of Punjab. After this Jyoti Raina presented Kashmiri dance. Rupanjali Koli showed Lavani dance and Haresh Dang showed Dang dance. Shabbir Siddi presented Sindhi Dhamaal, Rajeev Kumar danced in Matka Bhavai. Haryanvi dancer Sunita Devi made everyone dance.
