Jaipur : In the coming few years, the map of metro train will be seen changed in the capital. Work of Phase-02 will start and after this some new routes will also come on the ground. Along with Phase-02 (from Sitapura to Sikar Road), preparations have started to run the metro on Tonk Road from Mansarovar Metro Station. This phase will be 10 to 11 kilometers long. Metro officials will get the DPR of this new route prepared along with Phase-02. If Metro officials are to be believed, the tender process for traffic study along with DPR will be started soon. Recently, some councilors of Mansarovar and officials of development committees have conveyed the matter of running the metro to Sanganer via New Sanganer Road to CM Bhajan Lal Sharma. It is believed that the Chief Minister has shown interest in this route. Because there is dense population on both sides of this route and the entire route is also elevated, the cost will also be less.
Slowly increasing traffic
its ongoing work
Phase-1C: (From Badi Chaupad to Transport Nagar) Work is underway on this route. A route of 2.85 km has been decided.
Phase-1D: (From Mansarovar Metro Station to 200 feet bypass) work has also started. This 1.35 km route will be completely elevated.
Phase-2 will be about 30 km long
Phase-2 (from Ababari to Sikar Road) is estimated to be a route of about 30 km. Its construction will cost Rs 5860 crore. Earlier this route was till Ababari, but now there is a plan to take it to Sikar Road via BRTS corridor. This will facilitate the movement of people living on both sides of Sikar Road. Earlier the length of this route (from Sitapura to Ababari) was 23 km and the cost was Rs 4600 crore.
Even though the name of the metro station is Mansarovar, the people living in Mansarovar are not getting its benefit. This is the reason that after the change of government in the state, efforts started for metro on New Sanganer Road as well. With the arrival of metro on this route, a large part of Mansarovar will be connected. At the same time, the population is also increasing rapidly in Prithviraj Nagar-South. In future, the people there will get relief with the arrival of metro train.
