Jodhpur : For the convenience of passengers, QR codes have been installed at 164 railway stations under Jodhpur division in Rajasthan, which can be scanned to buy tickets with the help of online payment. This facility has been provided at many other stations including Degana, Nagaur, Merta, Barmer Jodhpur. However, the facility of UTS app, ATVM QR code introduced earlier by the Railways will remain the same. Vendor machines have already been installed at railway stations, in which a private person takes the payment and issues the ticket. But this process also takes the same time as the ticket window. Therefore, the Railways has introduced the QR code.
Vikas Kheda, Commercial Manager, North Western Railway Jodhpur Division, said, “At present, the QR code system has been started at 164 stations in the state. Soon it will be started at other railway stations in the state as well. Its main purpose is to provide relief to passengers and save their time. With this, passengers will be able to easily get tickets by making online payment.”

Let us tell you that there are more than 500 stations, big and small, in Rajasthan. About 4 to 5 lakh people travel here every day. Out of these, about three lakh people travel on general tickets. Most of them are working professionals and students.

From there, any passenger can pay the fare at unreserved ticket counters with the help of UPI (Paytm, Google Pay, Phone Pay), so that there will be no possibility of wrong transaction.
