Jaipur : As soon as the month of October arrives in the country, the period of festivals starts. During this period, Indian Railways is running 519 special trains for smooth movement of passengers during Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath Puja. These special trains will run from 1 October to 30 November. With the running of all these trains, it will be very convenient for everyone and they will be able to go to their homes without any hassle. According to the railway official, every year special trains are run by the Railways on the occasion of festivals, but this year there has been a huge increase in the number of these special trains.
Special trains will run around 6000 rounds
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Rohit Malviya said that lakhs of passengers travel during Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath festivals. To provide smooth and comfortable travel to the huge crowd of passengers, Railways has made preparations to operate special trains this year also. During a period of two months, these special trains will make approximately 6000 rounds and will transport a large number of passengers to their destination. Last year also, a large number of festival special trains were operated by Indian Railways and these trains made a total of 4,429 rounds. Through which lakhs of passengers got the facility of comfortable travel.
Train ran due to ticket waiting list
Every year on the occasion of Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath Puja, a large number of people from across the country go to Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. For people, these festivals not only have religious significance, but are also an important occasion to meet families. Every year during festivals, due to rush of passengers, tickets in most of the trains go on waiting list two-three months in advance. Keeping this in view, this year also special trains are being operated by the Railways on the occasion of festivals.
