Kota : Kota Railway Division of Rajasthan is constantly innovating and providing new facilities to the passengers. Earlier, instead of window tickets, mobile ticket system was arranged. Also, a control room was set up for passenger complaints, which is solving the problems of passengers 24 hours a day. Now this time, for the convenience of passengers, Kota Railway Division has provided medical kits with 13 types of medicines for first aid to the ticket checking staff (TTE) in trains. Kota Railway Administration is very alert about passenger facilities. Keeping passenger convenience in mind, under the guidance of DRM Manish Tiwari, Kota Division has taken a positive initiative for primary treatment of passengers in emergency situations in moving trains. At present, till now, the arrangement for primary treatment for passengers was available only with the passenger train manager (guard) and the station superintendent at the station.
TTE will have medicines for common diseases
Senior divisional commercial manager Rohit Malviya said that keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, the division has issued first aid kits to all ticket checking staff (TTE) of passenger trains. This first aid kit will contain 13 types of medicines related to common diseases which will be available with the ticket checking staff during duty in the train. It is mandatory for the checking staff to keep it with them. In case of emergency, the passenger can avail this facility in a running train by paying a fee of Rs. 50. If a passenger needs first aid, he can contact the on-duty TTE in a running train. The on-duty checking staff will provide medicine to the passenger after consulting the doctor over the telephone.
On the advice of the doctor, the details of the passenger who will be given medical assistance, i.e. passenger’s name, gender, age, PNR, coach number, berth number, name of the travel station, name of the destination station and name of the doctor will be recorded as a record. Medicines related to common diseases like fever, vomiting, diarrhea, minor injuries, eye drops, bandage etc. will be available in the medical kit. First aid kits have been made available to 257 ticket checking staff of the division, the use of which has also been started.
