Good news for students, 8th, 10th and 12th class students will get tablets

Bikaner : Brilliant students of class 8th, 10th and 12th board exams are waiting to get tablets for five years. The education department last distributed laptops to the meritorious students of the 2017-18 academic session. After this, after the Congress government came to power in the state, it announced to give tablets instead of laptops. Earlier, the distribution of tablets for one year was pending, meanwhile, due to the arrival of Corona, the distribution of laptops was postponed in two academic sessions. After this, there was talk of distributing tablets simultaneously to the meritorious students of two academic sessions, but they were not distributed. Now after the formation of BJP government in the state, the process has moved forward for distribution of tablets to 55 thousand meritorious students of the last two sessions. The education department has also received a budget of Rs 120 crore from the government. The education department will now soon distribute tablets to the students who have scored 75 percent or more marks in the 8th, 10th and 12th boards of the academic session 2021-22 and 2022-23.

These sessions will not be available

Brilliant students of the three academic sessions of 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21 will not get tablets. In such a situation, the brilliant students of these sessions are feeling cheated. However, the brilliant students of class 8 of the year 2018-19 have now reached college. Whereas the brilliant students of class 10 and 12 are now doing graduation. The students of academic session 2019-20 and 2020-21 are definitely studying in school-college now.

Order issued for purchase of tablets

Education department officials said that orders have been placed to purchase tablets for more than 55 thousand meritorious students. The concerned firm will program the tablets and make them available, after which distribution will begin. It is expected that the tablets will reach the students sometime after the schools open in July.

In fact, on asking the list of meritorious students of 8th Board, 10th and 12th Board from all the District Education Officers of the state, it was found that only 55 thousand 727 students of academic session 2021-22 and 2022-23 will be given tablets. This includes the names of 27 thousand 861 meritorious students of 2021-22 and 27 thousand 866 meritorious students of 2022-23.
