Jaipur : Four and a half thousand teachers employed on contract for one year in Mahatma Gandhi Government School (English medium) and Government English medium schools of Rajasthan will not be relieved from work until further instructions. In this regard, Director of Education Ashish Modi issued orders on Friday. Rajasthan Patrika had published a news titled ‘Job of four and a half thousand teachers in danger, only two days left’. After this, the Education Department has taken this decision.
What in the order?
In the order sent to all the District Education Officers (Secondary) of the state, it has been said that the one-year contract period of Assistant Teacher (English and Science-Mathematics) appointed on contract basis under Assistant Teacher, Level-I and Second Contract Recruitment 2023 is ending. Such working contract Assistant Teachers should not be relieved from the school until further instructions are received. The attendance of all these should be recorded regularly in the attendance register as before. If Assistant Teachers refuse to register attendance in any school, the entire responsibility will be considered to be of the institution head.
This is the whole matter
Four and a half thousand teachers of Rajasthan were employed in English medium for one year at a salary of Rs. 16,900 per month. The tenure of these teachers was going to end on 28th July, after which there was a lot of restlessness among them. But now Bhajan Lal government has given a big relief to these teachers.
