Jodhpur : Vice President of Indian Nursing Council and Dean Nursing of Rajasthan Health Sciences University Dr. Jogendra Sharma came to Jodhpur on a one-day visit. Talking to the magazine here, he said that there will be bumper recruitments in the nursing cadre (Rajasthan Nursing Jobs) in the state and everyone should be ready for it. He openly answered questions on other issues including the National Nursing and Midwifery Commission.
Question- What is the future of employment in nursing field?
Answer – Employment opportunities in the field of nursing are constantly increasing. In the coming time, about 18,000 nursing personnel will be recruited in various cadres in Rajasthan. These include nursing officers, ANMs and community health officers (CHO). In nursing education, the recruitment process will soon be started on various posts as per the UGC rules, including the Indian Nursing Council and the new National Education Policy.
Question: There is a need for a separate nursing university. How important is it for nursing education?
Answer – We will send a proposal to the state government to establish a separate independent nursing university and recommend it. There are more than 250 nursing colleges in Rajasthan and according to the new National Education Policy (NEP) and UGC rules, if there are more than 200 colleges, an independent university for the related course can be established. The university will further strengthen the quality standards of nursing education.
Question- How can the quality of nursing education be improved?
Answer – The National Nursing and Midwifery Commission (NNMC) is going to start soon. After this, there will be uniformity in nursing education and clinical practice across India and there will be innovation in quality. The formation of the commission will include a chairperson and 3 presidents along with 19 posts, which will improve the condition and direction of the nursing sector.
Question: How is nursing education innovating over time?
Answer – Along with simulation technology, virtual reality (VR) learning technology will also be widely incorporated in nursing education. Virtual reality technology will allow nursing students to practice scenarios that they may encounter with patients in real life. Through VR technology, students will gain experience in making decisions in complex medical situations without any risk.
