Sri Ganganagar : Students will now get admission facility throughout the year on vacant seats from nursery to 8th in Mahatma Gandhi English Medium Schools of the state. Even if any seat is vacant before the examination, admission can be given. Director of Secondary Education Ashish Modi has issued a new guideline regarding this. After this, the link on the Shala Darpan portal has been activated again for online application. It is noteworthy that the Education Department had closed the portal for online admission in English medium schools on June 23. 82 schools are being run in Mahatma Gandhi English Medium Schools in Sri Ganganagar-Anupgarh district. Among these, there are many schools at the district headquarters, block level, where more applications have been received than the approved seats.
Portal for admission reopened
Due to the closure of the online admission portal on June 23, seats in schools of various districts across the state including Sri Ganganagar-Anupgarh remained vacant. According to departmental officials, the director and senior officials of the education department have restarted the portal after understanding the pain of parents and children.
80% admission till 15th August, 15% till half yearly examination
According to education officials, 80 percent of admissions in schools are done by 15th August. Be it Mahatma Gandhi School or general Hindi medium. After this, if 15 percent of the remaining 20 percent children are left out due to some reason, then admission is taken before the half-yearly examination. The remaining 5 percent children who were deprived of admission due to circumstances can be given admission throughout the year.
Admission of Hindi medium students up to 15th
Admission to the vacant seats in classes 9th to 12th in Mahatma Gandhi English Medium Schools will be possible only till the last date fixed for Hindi Medium students. At present this date is fixed as 15th July. Maximum one school option can be selected in the application. Admission is being given to the vacant seats from Nursery to 8th in Mahatma Gandhi English Medium Schools. In the department’s guidelines, exemption for admission in English throughout the year has been given. Along with this, online admission is being given on first come first serve basis.
