Goods worth lakhs including cash burnt to ashes in Sawai madhopur fire

Sawai Madhopur : Goods worth lakhs of rupees including cash were burnt to ashes in two separate incidents of fire in Tigriya village of Barnala tehsil of Bamanwas subdivision and Bidakhya village of Gangapur City on Sunday. On receiving the information, the fire brigade reached the spot and controlled the fire with the help of the villagers.

The havoc of fire was witnessed today in Barnala tehsil of Bamanwas subdivision. A thatched roof caught fire in Tigaria village of Batoda police station area, causing loss worth lakhs. Due to short circuit in Tigaria village, the thatched roof of Kunjilal son Mithilal Kharwal caught fire. Due to which there was a loss of Rs 2 lakh 82 thousand. The villagers controlled the fire with great difficulty but by then huge damage had been done.

According to the Tehsil administration, information was received on Sunday morning that the house of Kunjilal Kharwal caught fire due to short circuit. Cash worth Rs 80 thousand, LEDs, wheat, sesame, cupboard, bed, jewelery etc. were burnt to ashes in the fire. According to the Patwari report, the total loss due to fire is estimated to be Rs 2 lakh 82 thousand. After receiving the information, the local people tried hard to control the fire. Batoda police station also reached the spot. However, the local people reached the spot and demanded compensation from the Gram Panchayat administration and the Tehsil administration to the victim’s family.
