Goods worth Rs 35 lakh stolen from under construction building in Sriganganagar

Sriganganagar : due to the government’s negligence, the building worth crores of rupees has become the target of thieves even before its construction. Everything made of steel has been stolen in the Kar Bhawan worth Rs 19.50 crore under construction in the old sugar mill area. Stainless steel items installed in every room and hall on every floor of this 10-storey building have been stolen. The estimated value of the damage caused by the thieves has been estimated at Rs 35 lakh.

This theft, which took place in such a large complex, came to light on 27 November. Govindram, project director of Rajasthan State Road Development Corporation, the agency carrying out the construction, immediately lodged a complaint at Jawaharnagar police station. But a case against unknown has been registered on December 7. Head constable Gurmel Singh of Jawaharnagar police station is investigating this. This theft is said to have taken place between November 1 and 27. PD Govindram himself told that he raided the spot to catch the thieves committing theft.

We ran after them but they were 6-7 people and escaped through the railway line. I called the police station and walked from Homeland City, but despite the police station being nearby, the police reached the spot after our arrival. Otherwise the thieves would have been caught red handed.
