Bhajan Lal government has formed a committee on the allegations leveled against Shanti Dhariwal and three other officers in the single lease case 10 years ago during the Vasundhara government.
The government has formed a committee under the chairmanship of retired High Court judge Justice RS Rathore. The Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department and the Principal Secretary of the UDH Department will be members of this committee. This committee will investigate the entire matter and submit its report to the state government. In fact, Bhajanlal government, while submitting a reply on May 22 in the SLP filed in the Supreme Court in this matter, had said that there is no case in the single lease case.
In the single lease case, the rules were followed completely. At the same time, the state government has not suffered any financial loss in this. In this entire case, three officers who held important posts in the Gehlot government, including MLA Shanti Dhariwal, were accused. But there was constant political pressure on the Bhajan Lal government due to giving a clean chit to the Congress leader. After this, the government has now formed a committee in this matter.
Questions raised on the impartiality of the committee formed during the Congress government
Bhajan Lal Sarkar, while forming an inquiry committee in the entire case, said that during the tenure of the previous Gehlot government, a committee was formed to withdraw the case from the court on the irregularities in the single lease case. But officials related to the office of the then UDH Minister (Shanti Dhariwal) were included in the committee. This raised questions on the impartiality of the said committee. The newly formed committee under the chairmanship of former judge R.S. Rathore will conduct an impartial investigation of the single lease case and submit a report to the state government.
