Raipur, November 21 (IANS). Former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel spoke to IANS on Thursday. He reacted on many issues including exit polls of Maharashtra and Jharkhand elections, Bitcoin issue.
Bhupesh Baghel refused to comment on the exit polls of Maharashtra and Jharkhand elections. He said that there is only two days left for the election results to be declared. He claimed that after the counting of votes on 23rd, ‘India’ block government will be formed in Jharkhand and Mahavikas Aghadi government will be formed in Maharashtra.
On the question of paddy procurement, the former Chief Minister said that the farmers of Chhattisgarh will suffer the biggest loss in the matter of paddy procurement, especially the farmers of tribal and uneducated areas. These farmers will suffer huge losses. Small farmers will also be affected. The Chief Minister himself is from the tribal community but this is going to cause huge loss to the tribal farmers.
He said that payment is not being made on the other side. Biometrics have been made mandatory. The server is going down again and again. They have found many excuses for not buying paddy. Due to this, paddy procurement will not be possible. The time limit for lifting paddy which is 72 hours, will not be met within that. In such a situation, the government will not be able to purchase even 100 lakh tonnes of paddy. He described the state government as “anti-farmer”.
On the Bitcoin issue, former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that he does not know much about it. The way the BJP government is raising questions, it shows mental bankruptcy. What is the relation between Bhupesh Baghel and this case? His spokesperson is raising such questions. If they don’t trust their own agency, I will file a defamation case against their spokespersons for unnecessarily dragging my name.
