Udaipur : Udaipur The State Higher Education Department has sought a response from the Registrar regarding the appointment of the Head of the Department of Zoology in the Science College of Mohanlal Sukhadia University. After the complaint of Assistant Professor Vijay Kumar Koli of the department in this matter, Joint Secretary (Higher Education) Dr. Harishankar Mewada has asked for a factual report in the matter. Koli had sent a complaint to the Chancellor’s office about making a junior teacher the head of the department against the rules. Assistant Professor Koli had written a letter to the Governor’s Secretariat on November 5, complaining on behalf of the university administration about making junior teacher Asharam Meena the head of the department against the rules. In this matter, Joint Secretary Mewara has written a letter to the Registrar on December 3 seeking a reply. Let us tell you that on behalf of the university administration, on October 21, Prof. was appointed to the post of Dean in Science College. M.S. Dr. Asharam Meena was appointed to the post of Head of the Department of Zoology and Dhaka. After which, on the same day, teachers associated with Sukhadia University Teachers Association (SUTA) reached the Registrar’s office and created a ruckus. The result was that after 20 minutes, Registrar Dr. Vridh Chand Garg put a stay on the appointment orders of both of them. But both of them continued working at their posts even after that. In such a situation, Vijay Koli complained to the Governor (Chancellor) regarding the matter.
Teachers had already expressed protest before the appointment
The then Dean of Science College, Prof. After the retirement of Aarti Prasad, internal turmoil had started regarding new appointments on both the posts. Apart from being the dean, she was also the chairperson of the zoology department. In such a situation, on September 17 itself, the officials of SUTA had submitted a memorandum to the Vice Chancellor and the Registrar regarding keeping in mind the seniority in appointment. But ignoring the objections of the teachers, appointment orders were issued for both the posts. Which was opposed by the teachers. The teachers had alleged that seniority was being ignored in appointments to the university. Prof. in Science College. There are many senior professors from Dhaka. An investigation is also pending against Dhaka. Similarly, Dr. Vijay Kohli is the most senior in the Zoology department. But seniority in both the posts was ignored.
