Government will withdraw 7 lakh cases of breaking traffic rules, CM gave approval

Jaipur : Rajasthan government has taken a big decision. It is going to withdraw 7 lakh cases related to breaking traffic rules. CM Bhajanlal Sharma has given approval. The Home Department will soon start the process of withdrawing the cases from the court. The way for punishment or fine will also be cleared for those who are habitual offenders of breaking the rules. According to the Home Department, the state government has the right to withdraw the cases pending in the courts under section 321 of CrPC.

Cases related to theft will not be withdrawn
Under this, the government has decided to withdraw the cases related to breaking traffic rules under the Motor Vehicle Act. A condition has been put in this that the case should not be related to theft. This should be their first offense under this section. The case should be related only to fine. The accused is appearing in the court.

More than 7 lakh cases are pending
According to Hariom Atri, Member Secretary of Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority, “Our job is to monitor such cases involving women and children which are of general nature. More than 7 lakh cases related to Motor Vehicle Act 1988 are pending. A large number of these cases were gathering dust in police stations. The time for their hearing had also ended. Suggestions were given to the government for its resolution. Now it is up to the government to decide what it does?

Approval received from the government, process will start soon
The Home Department says that as soon as the state government passes the order, the prosecution department will proceed with the process of withdrawing the case from the court. In this, the government lawyer will present the government’s recommendation in the concerned court. The CM’s approval has been received. The process will start soon.
