Jhunjhunu : Siddharth Khichad, Gram Vikas Adhikari working in Patusari and Nayasar of Jhunjhunu district, committed fraud in his new job. Only 16 months have passed since his appointment. Siddharth Khichad transferred lakhs of rupees of the Gram Panchayat to the accounts of his wife and relatives without any fear. Now that this has been revealed, the Panchayat Samiti BDO has suspended him.
Sarpanchs of two panchayats got a case registered
Siddharth Khichad has been accused of transferring Rs 80 lakh from the development fund of two Gram Panchayats to the bank accounts of his wife and an acquaintance. Nayasar Sarpanch Roshan Manju has lodged an FIR in this matter at Sadar police station. In the FIR, the Gram Vikas Adhikari has been accused of embezzling Rs 50 lakh. Patusari Sarpanch has also filed a report at the police station. In which Khichad has been accused of embezzling Rs 30 lakh.
Transfers made to accounts of wife and relatives
VDO Siddharth Khichad, accused of embezzlement, has not even completed his two-year probation period as VDO in Panchayat Samiti and later Patusari Panchayat after joining in April 2023, before that he committed these scams. While being the Gram Vikas Adhikari in Patusari, he was given additional charge of Nayasar on June 10 due to the Gram Vikas Adhikari Priyanka of Nayasar Gram Panchayat going on leave. During the same period, between July 30 and August 29, VDO Siddharth Khichad transferred Rs 50 lakh to the account of his wife Sangeeta Khichad and a person named Ajay.
BDO suspended
The interesting thing in this is that the Sarpanch had to receive the OTP for the transaction in the bank account of the Gram Panchayat. But Gram Vikas Adhikari Siddharth transferred the money from a single ID. Due to which the Sarpanch did not receive the OTP and the embezzlement could not be detected. BDO of Jhunjhunu Panchayat Samiti Mamta Chaudhary has suspended the accused Gram Vikas Adhikari Siddharth Khichad. The BDO has issued the suspension order of the Gram Vikas Adhikari and has made him the headquarters at Ajadi Kalan during the suspension period. A committee of 3 members has been formed to investigate the matter. It is said that Siddharth Khichad is also in contact with some big leaders of BJP.
