Grand procession taken out in Bundi city, Naval Sagar lit up with lamps in the evening

Bundi News Desk: As part of the series of programs under Bundi Mahotsav-2024, a lamp was donated in the Naval Sagar Lake of the city on Monday evening. After the donation of lamps, Naval Sagar Lake lit up with lamps. Collector Akshay Godara, MLA Harimohan Sharma and foreign tourists performed the aarti of Mother Ganga and donated lamps in the lake. After this the city residents also donated lamps in the lake. Before this, the artists gave spectacular presentations of Kutchi Ghodi dance and Algoza playing. Folk songs were also presented. There was tremendous enthusiasm among people of all age groups for Bundi Mahotsav, the tourist festival of Bundi Hadoti. The procession taken out on the first day of the festival in the city was welcomed by businessmen, religious organizations, social organizations, common people and institutions by showering flowers at various places along the route. Children kept dancing with folk artists at many places on the procession route. In the procession, scout guides and school children were walking in a queue and in discipline. Children were seen dancing with the folk artistes.

Tableaux conveying messages from government departments also remained the center of attraction for the common people. Before this, at the beginning of the festival, Pt. Vishwanath Sharma worshiped Garh Ganesh. Father Robin Jan, Sukhjinder Singh, City Qazi Abdul Shakur Qadri, Maulana Aslam, Mehmood Ali welcomed the procession. During this time, Collector Akshay Godara inaugurated the canvas painting in the princely Garh Palace. The thrill of competitions was witnessed at the Police Parade Ground amidst the colors of various cultural programs organized under the Bundi Mahotsav on Monday. The competitions held amidst festive colors on the parade ground thrilled everyone.

In the evening, a colorful cultural evening was organized on the grounds of the park on the banks of Naval Sagar Lake. Folk artists made the program memorable by giving captivating presentations of folk songs and dances. The performances of the artistes were greatly appreciated by the audience and received a lot of applause. In the programme, Harishankar Nagar of Karwar gave an attractive presentation of Kachchi Ghodi and Dhandas of Kumbhalgarh gave an attractive presentation of Terhtali dance. Neha of Kishangarh-Ajmer performed Chari-Ghoomar, Nitinbhai Dave of Gujarat performed Garba Raas dance, Barkha Joshi of Kota performed Kathak, Dhannalal Meena of Kota performed Bhavai dance, Kalpesh Rathwa of Gujarat performed Rathwa dance, Jumma Khan of Alwar performed Bhapang, Leeladevi of Barmer performed Kalbelia, Sandeep Sharma of Haryana performed Ghoomar dance, Sonia Saini of Govardhan performed Peacock dance and made the atmosphere devotional to Krishna. The program was conducted by Neeta Dangi and Richa Paneri.
