Bhubaneswar, December 9 (IANS). The Central Election Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made Sujit Kumar the Rajya Sabha candidate from Odisha.
After filing nomination for the sole seat of Rajya Sabha, Sujit Kumar thanked the central leadership and state leadership of BJP. He said that development of the country and the state is our priority. The best thing I like about BJP is PM Modi’s vision of ‘Developed India, Developing Odisha’. We will work for this.
Sujit Kumar filed his nomination in the presence of Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi and BJP state president Manmohan Samal. Sujit Kumar had resigned from both the upper house Rajya Sabha and BJD in September before joining the BJP. He will contest from the same seat which he had vacated earlier. BJP has 78 seats in the 147-member assembly, so their victory seems certain.
