Jaipur : A case of major lapse in the security of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has come to light in the capital Jaipur. At Mahal Road in Jagatpura, where the convoy car of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma had entered, the truck carrying the convoy of the Vice President arrived at the same place after quarter of an hour. Eyewitness policemen said that the incident occurred when the Chief Minister’s convoy was going towards Sitapura and general traffic on the route was closed. Then a speeding car moved towards the intersection on the wrong side from Kumbha Marg at a speed of 120 km per hour. The lady constable signaled the car driver to stop, but the speed did not reduce. The woman constable saved herself by climbing over the divider. Traffic police ASI Surendra Singh also tried to stop the car. The car hit Surendra and entered the convoy and hit the pilot car. Surendra jumped and fell about 40 feet away. ACP Amir Hasan and driver constable Balwan Singh who were sitting in the pilot car were injured. The second vehicle of the convoy broke the iron railing and climbed onto the divider. Policemen Devendra Singh and Rajendra Singh were injured. ASI Surendra Singh, who was injured in the accident, died in the hospital late in the evening. There was a wave of mourning in the police department due to the demise of Surendra Singh.
