Hanumangarh : achieving success in the case of recovery of heroin (chitta) worth about one crore rupees, Sangaria police station on Wednesday arrested the main supplier from Amritsar, Punjab. The police is interrogating and investigating the other associates of this gang involved in smuggling.
Sangaria police station in-charge SI Tejwant Singh, who is investigating the case, said that on the information of District Special Team, Sector Hanumangarh, Tibbi police station, while taking action in the street outside the house of Sikandar Khan in village Gudiya, late on the night of 6th December, 251 Gram. Heroin (Chitta) was recovered and Sikandar Khan (22), son of Abub Shah alias Bhup Khan, resident of Ward 5, village Gudiya, traveling in car number RJ 31 CC 6793. Arrested him. Whereas, history-sheeter criminal Ahmed Nawaz alias Chidiya (52) son of Jan Mohammad, resident of Gudiya of Tibbi police station managed to escape from the spot.
A case was registered under the NDPS Act at Tibbi police station and the investigation was handed over to Sangaria police station. During interrogation during the remand period, Sikandar Khan said that the seized heroin (Chitta) was brought from Angrez Singh alias Sanki, resident of Amritsar, Punjab. On this, a team was formed and sent to Punjab to arrest the accused.
The team achieved success and arrested the main supplier Angrez Singh alias Sanki (23), son of Jaspal Singh Mazhabi, resident of Khandwala PS Sahada District Amritsar (Punjab). The police team that took action included station in-charge Tejwant Singh, head constable Kailash Chand, Shankarlal, constable Malkesh Kumar and Mandeep Singh.
