Hanumangarh : Sadar police station of Hanumangarh district has arrested a youth roaming with a pistol near village Jandawali and taken action under the Arms Act. The arrested youth is a resident of village Satipura.
Sadar police station in-charge SI Ajay Kumar said that as per the instructions of Bikaner Range Inspector General of Police Omprakash Paswan and Superintendent of Police Arshad Ali, a special campaign was launched in the district to recover illegal weapons and take action under the Arms Act against those possessing illegal weapons.
Under this special campaign, a team formed under the leadership of ASI Jaskaran Singh was patrolling at the police station level. While patrolling, when the police team reached Rohi Jandawali, the activities of the youth roaming there appeared suspicious. On the basis of suspicion, when the police team interrogated the youth, he was identified as Jaskaran Singh (19), son of Lakhwinder Singh, resident of Mazhabi, Near Water Works, Ward 6, Village Satipura PS Hanumangarh Junction. During the search, an illegal pistol was recovered from the youth’s possession.
Jaskaran Singh was arrested from the spot, a case was registered under the Arms Act and the investigation was handed over to ASI Gurbachan Singh. Investigation is going on from the accused. The police team that took action included ASI Jaskaran Singh, Head Constable Vijay Singh, Constable Jagdish and Sarvjeet Singh. ASI Jaskaran Singh played a special role in this action.
