Hanumangarh : A case of fraud of Rs 2.20 lakh by giving fake coins in exchange for purchased livestock has come to light. A case has been registered in this regard at the Junction police station.
English, resident of Suresia Ward 56, reported that on the afternoon of 14 October, Madanlal Nayak came to his house with two women. Madanlal Nayak was living in a tent in Suresia Ward 56 for about a month and knew her for a month.
Madanlal Nayak told that he wanted to buy a goat. But he had one small goat, while his maternal uncle Kapuram had three big goats and three goats of Amarasari variety. Madanlal Nayak sold them for Rs 2 lakh 20 thousand. On October 16, Madanlal came to take the goat and sheep and gave him four coins in place of money and said that these were gold coins. But when he took the gold coins to goldsmith Sonu and asked for money in return, goldsmith Sonu said that he would check the coins and give the money the next day.
The next day goldsmith Sonu called him to his shop and told him that the coins were fake. Saying this the goldsmith returned the coins to him. He called Madanlal Nayak but his phone was switched off. He went to the tent and asked but there was nothing there.
