Hanumangarh : Child Welfare Committee on Monday took under its protection the newborn girl found in the modern Sulabh toilet of Junction in Hanumangarh. The newborn girl was admitted in the infant ward of the Government District Hospital of the town. Child Welfare Committee Chairman Jitendra Goyal along with the team reached the district hospital and took action to duly take the girl under the protection of the committee.
Child Welfare Committee Chairman Jitendra Goyal said that this girl has been named Srishti. Now the process of adopting this girl will be done. After 60 days, the girl will be legally freed and put into adoption. The list of waiting families willing to adopt a child will come to CWC. After this, a study will be conducted by the District Collector, Deputy Director of Child Empowerment Department and Child Welfare Committee and proper action will be taken to give the girl child for adoption to a fit family. CWD’s endeavor is to ensure that such children have such a bright future so that whatever family they go to, they can be brought up in a better way.
Goyal said that CWC has three assistants. The baby will be looked after by a nanny every six hours. Goyal appealed not to throw away the unwanted child. Give him to the committee or leave him in the foster home. There will be no questioning of any kind. Nor will any action be taken. If an unwanted child is abandoned, action is taken against the person concerned and there is also a risk of the child’s life being lost.
