Hanumangarh woman does court marriage without informing family, case registered

Hanumangarh : A married woman left home with another man without informing her in-laws. Later both of them got married in court. Angered by this, the first husband, along with his brother and about a dozen persons, entered the house of his wife’s second husband, beat her up and kidnapped the wife. In this regard, a case has been registered against two named persons and 10-11 others in Bhadra police station.

In the case registered on the orders of SP, Rajendra Kumar, son of Harkrishna, resident of Otu Road, Ward 7, Village Dhanur, District Sirsa, Haryana, Hall 8 Barani, Sardargarhia Road, near Shanti Niketan School, Bhadra told that Jaswinder Kaur, daughter of Premkar, resident of Panjmala, District Sirsa, was married to him. It happened with Pawan Kumar son of Ram Pratap in village Dhanur. Jaswinder Kaur had gone away from her house without informing anyone on September 4. Both of them got married in the court on 20 September. Jaswinder Kaur’s husband Pawan had filed a case at Rania police station in Sirsa district on September 5 after Jaswinder Kaur left the house.

Jasvinder Kaur appeared in the Ellenabad court through her lawyer and recorded her statement that she had gone with Rajendra of her own free will and wanted to live with him from now on. He took Jaswinder Kaur with him on October 10 and started living in his house at 8 Barani Sardargarhia Road, Bhadra near Shanti Niketan School. On November 10, he and his wife Jaswinder Kaur were present in their house. At around 12.30 pm, Pawan Kumar, Malkit, son of Kala, resident of Dhanur, District Sirsa, Haryana and 10-11 men came to his house, beat him up and forcibly took away his wife Jaswinder Kaur in the car. Police have registered a case under sections of BNS and handed over the investigation to ASI Nikkuram.
