On Saturday, after celebrating Karva Chauth, the family had gone out for a ride on a scooter. Then suddenly two youths riding a bike hit him. In this accident the woman died on the spot. This accident happened at 11:00 pm on Sunday night in front of Mittal Hospital, Ajmer.
Dupatta stuck on the bike and kept dragging on the road
According to the people present at the spot, the scarf of married woman Gurpreet Singh got stuck in the chain of the bike and she was dragged for a long distance on the road. Due to which he died. After the death of his wife, husband Gurpreet Singh and his daughters Harleen and Lovely are distraught. Local people admitted the injured father and daughter to Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital, where their treatment is going on.
After breaking the fast, I went out for a walk with my family.
Gurpreet Singh, resident of Kirti Nagar Block, Faysagar Road, Ajmer, said that a few minutes before the accident, there was a very happy atmosphere in the house. His wife Mandeep had observed a waterless fast throughout the day and broke the fast at night by worshiping the moon and everyone had dinner together. After this the children had talked about visiting Ajmer Rana Sagar Chowpatty. After that the whole family set out on a scooter. But while traveling some distance, suddenly his scooter met with an accident.
Wife Mandeep’s Chunni got stuck in bike tire
Local people told that at 11 pm, two bike riders came at a very high speed in front of Pushkar Road Mittal Hospital and hit the scooter from behind. Mandeep, a married woman riding a scooter, got her dupatta stuck in the chain of the speeding bike and she kept getting dragged on the road with the bike for a long distance. Due to this, he suffered serious injuries on his body and he died on the spot.
Police engaged in investigation
After the accident, the people present at the spot caught the bike rider Shubham. His companion fled from the spot. Expressing displeasure, the local people beat up Shubham on the spot. Ganj police station reached after the accident, controlled the crowd and admitted the injured father and two daughters to Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital for treatment. Where the treatment of all three is going on. Post mortem of Mandeep Singh’s body will be conducted on Monday morning.
