Hardik Pandya will be seen playing in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

New Delhi, November 20 (IANS). Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya will be seen playing for Baroda under his brother Krunal Pandya in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, which starts on November 23.

Last year, under the leadership of Krunal, Baroda team reached the final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament, where they had to face defeat by Punjab in Mohali.

Hardik last played a Ranji Trophy match for Baroda in 2018-19 against Mumbai, while he last played in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in January 2016. Hardik had not made his international debut then.

Only last month, Hardik was retained by Mumbai Indians and he will also remain the captain of the team. Meanwhile, Krunal was released by Lucknow Super Giants and he will be a part of the IPL auction.

Baroda are in great form at the moment and are on top of their group with 27 points in the first phase of Ranji Trophy. Baroda’s first match in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is against Gujarat on 23 November.
