Barmer : Congress MLA from Baytu Assembly of Rajasthan, Harish Chaudhary supported the protest of the villagers who were troubled by the contaminated water of the factories. After reaching there, he targeted the local leaders fiercely. Harish Chaudhary told the villagers that if you people think that we can solve this problem by protesting, then it is not possible. It is worth noting that the villagers are very upset with the contaminated water coming from the factories in many villages including Doli located on the Barmer-Jodhpur highway. Regarding this, the villagers started a protest near the Doli toll post. Baytu MLA Harish Chaudhary also reached the protest site on Sunday.
Harish Chaudhary further said- We will have to unite and fight a long battle for this. How many schools, how many farms and villages have come under the grip of contaminated water. However, no media raised this issue. Harish Chaudhary further said that there are talks of installing ETP and CEPT for dirty water, but what is their status? This has been going on for 12 years but even today there has been no solution.
Poisonous water is ruining us- Harish Chaudhary
We have to get to the root of the matter, only then will this problem be solved. Thousands of families, vegetation, ponds, wildlife are affected by this poisonous water. Harish Chaudhary said that the NGT’s decision is not being followed. Rules and laws are being broken and ignored.
We have to support the freedom struggle movement- Harish Chaudhary
While addressing the villagers, Harish Chaudhary further said that the Mukti Sangram movement launched against the chemical water coming from the factories of Jodhpur and Pali should be supported. Instead of blaming someone, steps should be taken to find a solution and stop the polluted water coming from the legal and illegal factories operating in Jodhpur from moving forward.
