Almora/Dehradun, 23 November (IANS). Former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and senior Congress leader Harish Rawat expressed concern over the Kedarnath Assembly by-election results and said that these results are worrying even for the people talking about the entire Uttarakhand. At the same time, BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt expressed his gratitude to the people of Kedarnath and said that the people of Kedarnath have put their seal of approval on all the development schemes of the Central and State Government.
While talking to the media, Harish Rawat said, “I don’t know the result but we are lagging behind. Even if we are lagging behind, it is a worrying thing. This is not only a worrying thing for the Congress, but all the Talking about Uttarakhand, Kedarnath and Pahad, there is a worrying aspect for all of them also.”
Accusing BJP, he said that this is the victory of BJP’s power, liquor and money power. But this is the defeat of Uttarakhand. Talking about Manoj Rawat, he said that in my view, Manoj Rawat is a suitable representative for the things against which Uttarakhand is standing, fighting and raising its voice today.
At the same time, BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt said, “I express my gratitude to the people who have made me win the Kedarnath assembly seat by a huge margin. The people of Kedarnath are enlightened. The way Congress has affected the journey to Kedarnath by making unrestrained statements. Tried to block the development and Congress went among the public on a false issue, today the people of Kedarnath have slapped the Congress hard.”
He further said that the trust that the people of Kedarnath have shown towards the Prime Minister of our country Narendra Modi, towards the Chief Minister of our state and towards the BJP organization, is an example. Whatever elections will be held in Uttarakhand in future, Bharatiya Janata Party will win them in this manner. I once again express my gratitude to the public.
It is noteworthy that Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Asha Nautiyal has won the Kedarnath Assembly by-election. He has defeated his nearest rival Congress candidate Manoj Rawat in the elections.
