Let us tell you that on 30 September 2008, a painful accident took place in Mehrangarh, Jodhpur. In which 216 youths died and more than 400 people were injured.
Nearly 16 years have passed since the Mehrangarh accident. But, the Hathras accident has again refreshed the memories of that ‘unfortunate’ day of Sharadiya Navratri of 2008. When there was a bloody stampede in the Chamunda Mata temple. On the day of Navratri establishment, early in the morning, everyone’s heart melted seeing dead bodies all around on the way to the temple. Some people trapped in the stampede died while being brought down from the Mehrangarh fort. There was a pile of bodies in the hospitals. Not a single body of the 216 dead in the Mehrangarh tragedy was post-mortemed.
Even after 16 years the real cause of the accident has not been revealed
After the accident, investigation commissions and committees were also formed. But, even after 16 years, the real cause of the accident has not been revealed. However, even today it is believed that all the people died due to suffocation. The investigation of the Mehrangarh accident has been completed. But, the truth has not been revealed yet.
