Jaipur : A big meeting of Bhajan Lal Cabinet is going to be held today in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, in which many policy decisions can be approved. During this, approval of Heal in Rajasthan Policy is also possible to make Rajasthan a ‘medical tourism hub’. If this happens, then it will be considered an important step of Rajasthan in the field of medical tourism, which will also benefit the public in many ways.
Decision on OPS or UPS is also possible
Which of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) or Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) should be implemented? Rajasthan government can take a decision on this today, so that the confusion prevailing among the employees can be removed. Apart from this, a big decision can also be taken regarding ‘one state-one election’ in Rajasthan. Due to this, panchayat elections in the state can be postponed for 6 months. The government can also form a committee for suggestions on this and a special session of the assembly can also be called. If this happens, then elections of bodies and gram panchayats can be held together under ‘one state-one election’ in January next year.
Health sector is given top priority in the budget
During the discussion on this policy last Saturday, Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department Shubhra Singh said, ‘The state government is starting a new era in the field of medicine in Rajasthan. With this thought, 8.26 percent of the total budget has been provided to the health sector in this year’s budget, giving it top priority. This is the highest budget provision so far. The infrastructure in the medical sector is being developed rapidly in the state. World-class institutions are being built here. Allopathy and AYUSH medical and health activities are being encouraged with a holistic approach.’
‘High class medical institutions came up in the state’
Shubhra Singh said, ‘Construction of Ayushman Tower in Sawai Mansingh Hospital, establishment of two Medicities and Marwar Medical University, medical college and nursing college in every district, promotion of telemedicine, coming of many high-class medical institutions in the private sector to the state are such steps which will promote medical tourism in Rajasthan. Also, due to the portability system in the Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana soon, patients from other states will also be able to come here for treatment. Singh said that due to continuous improvement in health services and availability of treatment at reasonable rates, the possibilities of medical tourism in the state have developed rapidly. The state government wants to expand these possibilities further through policy decisions. Other enterprises including pharma and hotel business will also get a boost from this.’
