Nagaur : A case of love jihad has come to light in Shri Balaji police station area of Nagaur district. A married Muslim youth first raped and then murdered a 16-year-old minor girl. Based on the report by family members regarding rape and murder of the minor victim, the police detained the accused. On being interrogated, he told that he had thrown the body in a well. Nagaur police and Panchu police station searched on the spot of the accused. Finally, after 72 hours, the body of the minor girl was taken out. What the accused told the police during interrogation left the police stunned. The accused told that he was in love with the minor girl and he left the house with her on the night of 2nd November. He reached Nokha at night and in the morning he reached Panchu police station area. After that he took her to Sathika’s village. Where both of them sat near a well outside the village and started talking about getting married.
The accused told that when the girl pressured him to marry her, he refused, then both of them decided to end their lives by jumping into the well or go back home, but the girl refused. Now the question is whether the minor girl was trapped by the accused and in what manner. After getting married, the Muslim youth first trapped the minor and then refused to marry her, now the police is investigating what is the truth.

Nagaur District Superintendent of Police Narayan Togas has said that after registering a case on the report of the family members, the accused has been detained and after interrogating the accused, he has been taken to the spot for verification and our SDRF and NDRF teams are still engaged and will soon reach the well. The girl’s body will be taken out and post-mortem will be done and will be handed over to her family. Further action will be taken based on the report of family members.
