Jaipur : On October 2, monsoon departed from all parts of Rajasthan except Kota and some parts of Udaipur division. Monsoon is likely to depart from other parts also in the next two days. With the departure of monsoon, heat has started showing in the western, northern and eastern parts of Rajasthan. During the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature in Bikaner, Churu and Phalodi reached 40 degrees Celsius. Whereas in the capital Jaipur, the maximum temperature was recorded at 38 degrees Celsius, which is the highest temperature in the month of October after the year 2017.
Rain in Pipalkhunt, Sriganganagar and Phalodi hottest
Light rainfall was recorded at isolated places in eastern Rajasthan. The weather remained mainly dry in western Rajasthan. Maximum rainfall of 7 mm was recorded in Pipalkhunt (Pratapgarh). The highest temperature in the state was 39.8 degrees in Sriganganagar and Phalodi. Whereas, the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.6 degree Celsius in Barmer. According to the Meteorological Department, the average amount of humidity in the air was recorded between 60 to 85 percent in most parts of the state.
The heat will torment us even more!
At present, the people of the state do not seem to be getting any respite from the heat for a few days. There is a possibility of increase in temperature in the coming days also. The weather is likely to remain completely clear in Rajasthan for the next 2 days. Due to this, the heat wave in the state is likely to remain intense. From October 6 onwards, the sky may be cloudy in some parts of north-western Rajasthan and there may be sporadic rain or drizzle at some places.
