Jaipur : Heavy rains are continuing in Rajasthan. Due to rain, flood-like conditions have been created in many places. According to the Meteorological Department, rains will continue in eastern Rajasthan for the next three days. The Meteorological Department today issued a yellow alert for rain in 23 districts. Out of which there is a possibility of heavy rain in 12 districts. According to weather experts, relief from rain is expected after 16th September. Heavy rains occurred in many districts including Ajmer in the last 24 hours. In such a situation, in view of the situation created due to waterlogging in many areas, the district administration has called the army. The Army Cantonment team reached here at around four in the evening and visited the waterlogged areas in the city. A blueprint of rescue operation was prepared on flood-like conditions. 32 mm of rain was recorded in Ajmer city till six in the evening. At the same time, 9 inches of rain was recorded in the city of Bharatpur till late night. Apart from this, Kota, Dausa, Banswara, Alwar and Dungarpur also received 2 to 4 inches of rain.
Schools are closed in Ajmer today
In view of heavy rains, holiday has been declared in all schools of Ajmer district today. District Collector Lokbandhu said that due to rain alert in Ajmer, there will be holiday on Monday in all government and non-government schools. Holiday will be applicable only for students. Academic and non-academic staff will have to go as usual.
Yellow alert in these districts today
There is a possibility of heavy rain in Banswara, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Baran, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dholpur, Jhalawar, Karauli, Kota, Pratapgarh and Sawai Madhopur. At the same time, a yellow alert for rain has been issued in Ajmer, Alwar, Dausa, Dungarpur, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Rajsamand, Sikar, Sirohi, Tonk and Udaipur.
Why is it raining heavily?
In fact, the deep low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal has intensified and turned into a depression. In such a situation, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, on September 9, moderate to heavy rain with thundershowers and heavy rain at some places is likely in most parts of Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur divisions. At the same time, on September 10-11, moderate rain is likely to continue in some parts of eastern Rajasthan and heavy rain at some places in Kota, Udaipur divisions. Due to the effect of depression formed in the Bay of Bengal, there is a possibility of increase in heavy rain activities again in some parts of eastern Rajasthan on September 12-13 and very heavy rain at some places.
