Heavy rain alert in many areas including the capital today, know the latest update

Jaipur : With the activation of a new circulation system in the state, heavy rains have started again. While there was light rain in some areas, clouds were very kind in some parts. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of light to moderate and heavy rain in some areas in six divisions including Jaipur today and tomorrow. According to the Meteorological Department, a circulation system is formed over the north-eastern areas of the state and the monsoon trough line is passing through Jaisalmer, Chittorgarh. Due to the effect of the system, there is a strong possibility of rain activities with thunder in some parts of Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Jaipur, Ajmer and Bikaner divisions in the next one or two days. Rain activities are likely to continue in some parts of Jodhpur, Udaipur and Kota divisions in the southern parts of the state. During this time, there is a possibility of heavy rain in some places in Udaipur division. After the next two days, there is a possibility of reduction in heavy rain activities in most parts of the state and light moderate rain with thunder is likely only at sporadic places.

Highest rainfall in Kalwad

In the last 24 hours, Kalwad received the maximum rainfall of 93 mm in Jaipur district. Sambhar received 78 mm and Jamwaramgarh received 61 mm of rain. While 85 mm of rain was measured in Sawai Madhopur Malarna Dungar, 69 mm in Chauth ka Barwara and 45 mm in Khandar. 64 mm of rain was recorded in Pidaawa of Jhalawar. In Jaipur city too, in the last 24 hours, some areas of the city witnessed heavy rain, while some areas witnessed scattered showers. There has been movement of clouds in the city since morning.

Water inflow in Bisalpur, gauge stable

Despite the rains stopping in Jaipur’s lifeline Bisalpur Dam area, the water inflow into the dam is happening at a slow pace. In the last 24 hours, the water level of the dam has remained stable at 310.16 RL meter. Usually water flows into the dam through the Banas river from the month of August, but the torrential rain in the catchment area of ​​the dam last week has increased the water level of the dam by about half a meter. The total water storage capacity of the dam is 315.50 RL meters.
