Jaipur : According to the belief, if the sandpiper lays eggs in odd numbers, it is a sign of good rain. This time too, monsoon is kind to Rajasthan and it is raining well. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in all the districts of Rajasthan for the next three days. There is a possibility of heavy rain in districts like Bhilwara, Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Banswara, Kota and Udaipur. Apart from this, winds at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour are also expected along with rain in 31 districts of the state.
Above normal rainfall
According to the weather conditions from June 1 to July 20, Rajasthan has received 3.29 percent more rain than normal. Although the pace of monsoon has slowed down a bit in the last few days, the situation is expected to improve in view of the possibility of heavy rains in the next three days.
Storm and lightning alert
Storm and lightning warnings have also been issued in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh. Heavy rains are also expected in these states.
Prediction of rain on Vayu Dharini Purnima
On the day of Ashadh Shukla Chaturdashi Yukta Purnima i.e. Vayu Dharini Purnima, air testing was done at Jaipur’s Jantar Mantar and Science Park in Shastri Nagar. According to the test, the wind direction was from east to west, which astrologers have said would lead to heavy rainfall.
Best rainfall in Rajasthan and surrounding states
According to the air test, this year Rajasthan and the surrounding states like Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh etc. are expected to receive good rainfall. Due to five Mondays in the month of Shravan, there is a possibility of good rain (Heavy Rain Alert) in these states.

Due to heavy rains, waterlogging may occur in the lower regions of Rajasthan. The administration has appealed to the people to remain alert and take necessary precautions. The district administration has been instructed to be fully prepared to deal with situations like waterlogging and floods during the rains. Monsoon has made its presence felt in Rajasthan and in view of the possibility of heavy rains in the next three days, the people of the state have been advised to remain alert.
