Heavy rain broke 35 years old record in this district of Rajasthan, holiday declared

Bharatpur : In Bharatpur district of Rajasthan, this year Lord Indradev has been very kind to both Bharatpur and Deeg districts. The sky has been cloudy for the past two days. The weather is so pleasant that drizzling raindrops are falling from the sky. Sometimes drizzling rain starts suddenly, sometimes it rains heavily, while sometimes the rain stops falling from the sky for a few moments. The same conditions have been prevailing from morning to evening and from evening to morning for the past 24 hours. The average record of 556 monsoons in the last 35 years has been recorded on 15 September this year, 850 mm of rain has been received till 11 September this year, while there are still 4 days left in the monsoon. Also, the rainy season is still continuing. If the situation remains the same, then there is full possibility of it lasting till 25 September.

5 consecutive days holiday in Bharatpur

In view of the continuous heavy rainfall in Bharatpur, District Collector Dr. Amit Yadav issued an order declaring a two-day holiday in schools. Under this, there will be a holiday in schools on Thursday, 12 September and Saturday, 14 September. There will be a holiday on 13 September due to Ramdev Jayanti, 15 September due to Sunday and 16 September due to Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (Bara-Wafat). Due to this, schools will remain closed for the next 5 days in the district.

According to the records of the Water Resources Department, from 1 June 2024 to 11 September last year, in 2023, only 537 mm of rain fell during this period, while this year 850 mm of rain has fallen, which is 313 mm more than last year. Here, if we look at the tehsil-wise rainfall in both the districts, the highest rainfall of 1116 mm has been recorded in Bhusavar tehsil, while this time the lowest rainfall of 557 mm has been recorded in Nadbai tehsil.
