Heavy rain continues in Rajasthan, this dam is expected to overflow

Jaipur : Monsoon seems to be completely kind to Rajasthan this year. Monsoon rains are continuing in the entire state including Jaipur. Due to this, dams and ponds have started overflowing. Many dams are already overflowing in the state. In such a situation, Jaipur’s lifeline Bisalpur Dam is just 90 cm away from overflowing. According to the Meteorological Department, the rainy season will continue in the month of September. The rain will increase the coolness in the weather. Let us tell you that the total water storage capacity of Bisalpur Dam is 315.50 RL meters and the water level of the dam has crossed 314.60 RL meters by 6 am today.

Current water level of big dams of Rajasthan:

The water resources department released the current water level data of big dams of Rajasthan. Kota barrage received 97.42 percent water. Rana Pratap Sagar received 89.08 percent water. Mahi Bajaj Sagar received 88.92 percent water. Bisalpur dam of Tonk received 83.61 percent water. Morel dam of Dausa received 100.00 percent water. Parvati dam of Dholpur received 99.79 percent water. Gudha dam of Bundi received 100.00 percent water. Jawai dam of Pali received 33.39 percent water. Meja dam of Bhilwara received only 22.42 percent water. Som Kamala Amba of Dungarpur received 86.02 percent water. Rajsamand dam received 48.36 percent water. Jaisamand of Salumbhar received 47.92 percent water. Jakham dam of Pratapgarh received 62.80 percent water.

Current status of dams in Rajasthan:

73.87 percent of the total filling capacity of water came in the dams of Rajasthan. This monsoon 270 dams of the state overflowed. 85.01 percent of the total filling capacity of water came in the dams of Kota division. 84.90 percent of the total filling capacity of water came in the dams of Banswara division. 73.35 percent of the total filling capacity of water came in the dams of Jaipur division. 49.08 percent of the total filling capacity of water came in the dams of Udaipur division. 40.20 percent of the total filling capacity of water came in the dams of Jodhpur division. 122 dams of the water resources department are still lying empty in the state.
