Jaipur : Monsoon has knocked in most of the districts of Rajasthan. It is raining in almost all the districts. On Sunday, the highest rainfall of 124 mm (about five inches) was recorded in Dholpur. Rivers and streams overflowed due to the rain. Low lying areas were flooded. Danpur and Churu of Chittorgarh received about two inches of rain each. Nagaur recorded 45 mm of rain. Apart from this, heavy rains also occurred in many areas including Churu, Sikar, Jaipur, Gangapur City, Kota, Udaipur, Ajmer, Bikaner. Heavy to very heavy rainfall along with thunder was recorded in some parts of Bharatpur division.
According to the Weather Centre, there is a possibility of heavy rain in some parts of Eastern Rajasthan and very heavy rain in some places in the next 4-5 days. Moderate rain is likely in some parts of Western Rajasthan. Here, in the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 41.3 degrees was recorded in Sriganganagar in the state. 47 mm of rain was recorded in half an hour from 4 to 4.30 pm on Sunday evening at the district headquarters of Gangapur City. During this time, the city’s markets and main roads were submerged. Vehicle drivers were seen falling in the water. After this, the rain continued for about an hour.
Drizzle in Banswara, two inches of rain in Danpur
After the humid atmosphere till night in the district including Banswara city, heavy rain fell on Sunday morning. After seeing the Sun for a while in the morning, clouds again covered the sky and drizzle continued throughout the day. In the last 24 hours, Danpur received the maximum rainfall of two inches. There was heavy rain in Ghatol as well. However, some areas remained dry.
Water filled in low lying areas in Kota
Thick dark clouds covered Kota city after 6 PM. It rained with strong winds after 8 PM. It rained heavily in the city. There was lightning and loud thunder during the rain. The drizzle continued till 10 PM. Due to the heavy rain at night in the city, small and big drains overflowed. Rivers of water flowed on the roads. Many houses in the low-lying areas were flooded. This caused a lot of trouble to the people. Many vehicles could not be moved due to water filling in the plugs, and people were seen pushing them along.

In Jhalawar district, due to good rain in Jhalrapatan and Jhalawar in the evening, water started flowing on the roads. Due to wind blowing after the rain, people got relief from the humid heat of the day. 6 mm of rain was recorded in Dag. In the last 24 hours, 20 mm rain was recorded in Raipur, 1 in Aklera, 2 in Asnawar, 23 in Bakani, 03 in Khanpur and 11 mm in Manoharthana. The average rainfall recorded in the district so far is 106.92 mm. The maximum temperature was 31 and the minimum was 26 degrees. It remained cloudy in Baran and Bundi districts.
Rain alert in these districts today
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for very heavy rain in Jaipur and Sikar districts today. During this period, winds are expected to blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour. At the same time, a yellow alert has been issued for rain with thunder and lightning in Jhunjhunu, Churu, Jaipur city and Dausa district today.
