Heavy rain in pre-monsoon in Rajasthan, relief to people, alert in these districts

Rajasthan : due to the start of pre-monsoon activities in the state, the weather changed on the second day on Friday in Jaipur and across the state, giving relief to the common people from the heat. Due to the effect of western disturbance, the clouds were kind amidst the movement of clouds and strong winds. Due to this, a drop in temperature was also recorded. After noon, the weather changed completely at all places. After the rain, the weather became pleasant. Light to moderate rain was seen in about a dozen cities including Jaipur. The maximum rainfall of about two inches was seen in Kota. This phase of rain will increase in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, rain was recorded in Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Churu, Baran, Sangaria, Chittorgarh, Tonk, Rajsamand, Sawai Madhopur, Alwar, Nagaur and other places. On Friday, 45 mm rain was recorded in Kota, 40 in Ajmer, 15 in Jaipur, 10 in Baran, five in Churu and three mm in Sangaria.

In western Rajasthan, the highest rainfall of 50.3 mm was recorded in Sriganganagar and 42 mm in Malpura and Tonk of eastern Rajasthan. While 50 mm rain was recorded in Ramgarh Dam of Jaipur and 40 mm rain was recorded in Bheru ki Dhani. Rain activities along with thundershowers are likely to continue in Kota, Udaipur divisions and surrounding areas on 22-23 June and rain activities are likely to increase further in some parts of south-eastern Rajasthan from 24 June. There is a strong possibility of heavy rain at some places in Kota and Udaipur divisions on 25-26 June.

Vehicle drivers got stuck due to waterlogging under the Nandpuri culvert in Malviya Nagar. The maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 37.4 degrees and the minimum temperature was 25.6 degrees.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain activities with thundershowers are likely to continue in Kota, Udaipur division and surrounding areas on 22-23 June and rain activities are likely to increase further in some parts of south-eastern Rajasthan from 24 June. There is a strong possibility of heavy rain at some places in Kota, Udaipur division on 25-26 June.
