Rajasthan : During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain was recorded in many parts of Rajasthan along with thunderstorms. During this time, the highest rainfall (Rain in Rajasthan) was recorded in Dholpur. Due to rain, a brother and sister died in an accident in Pali, while three others were injured. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in some places in Udaipur, Kota, Jodhpur divisions during the next 48 hours.
65 mm rain occurred in Dholpur
The Meteorological Department said that till 5:30 pm on Wednesday evening, 65 mm of rain was recorded in Dholpur, 27.8 mm in Chittorgarh, 10 mm in Sikar, 8.8 mm in Phalodi, 6.5 mm in Karauli. Apart from this, light to moderate rain was also recorded in Jaipur, Alwar, Nagaur, Pali, Sirohi, Bharatpur, Udaipur and Churu.
Two killed, 3 injured in Chhajja collapse
During this period, on Wednesday, the maximum temperature in Bikaner was 43 degrees Celsius, in Ganganagar 42.3 degrees Celsius, in Fatehpur 42 degrees, in Jaisalmer 41.7 degrees, in Jodhpur 41.2 degrees, in Churu 40.9 degrees, in Pilani 40.8 degrees and in all other major places of the state the temperature was recorded below 40 degrees Celsius. Due to rain, the balcony of a shop collapsed in Bali police station area of Pali, killing a brother and sister, while three other people were injured. Bali police station officer Parbat Singh said that due to rain, Kamlesh (12) and his sister Sania (6) sitting under the balcony of a shop collapsed in Bijapur village, while his parents and another person were injured. The injured have been sent to Sumerpur after primary treatment at Bali Hospital.
Heavy rain alert in many areas including Jaipur
The Meteorological Department further informed that there is a possibility of thunderstorms and rain in the eastern parts of the state in the coming days. Apart from this, heavy rain is expected in some parts of Udaipur, Kota, Jodhpur divisions during the next 48 hours (Heavy Rain Alert in Rajasthan). At the same time, there is a possibility of thunderstorm activities continuing in many parts of eastern Rajasthan and heavy rain in Bharatpur, Jaipur divisions during June 28 to 30.
