Jaipur : The continuous rain in the state has created a disaster in many districts of the state. The havoc of rain has created chaos in Jaipur, Bikaner and Tonk. Three people including a child died in Bikaner due to wall collapse after heavy rain. In Tonk, people got stuck while crossing a river filled with rain water, who were rescued in time. Due to which a major accident was averted.
Rain exposed the claims of the municipal corporation administration
The post-rain situation in the capital Jaipur has also exposed the claims of the Municipal Corporation administration. The common people are troubled by the problem of waterlogging in different areas of the city. Along with this, due to continuous rain, potholes have formed at many places. Due to the rain on Friday, a 20 feet deep pothole was formed in Shivpuri Colony of Jhotwara area of the capital Jaipur. Due to which the sewer line there was also damaged. Due to this, people living in the surrounding colonies had to face a lot of problems. However, the local administration is busy repairing the damaged sewer line. In this regard, the local people say that due to continuous rain, a 20 feet deep pothole has formed on the road, which is causing waterlogging. Due to dirty water, foul smell is spreading in the colony. Also, people are facing a lot of trouble in commuting.
Rajasthan drenched by 12 hours of rain
According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, from Friday morning till 5.30 pm, Karauli recorded 55.5 mm, Anta 28 mm, Bikaner 21.4 mm, Kota 17.8 mm, Jaipur 17.6 mm, Dholpur 9 mm and light to moderate rain was recorded at many other places.
