The Meteorological Center Jaipur today issued an orange alert for rain in Jaipur, Dausa, Bharatpur and Alwar, while a yellow alert in 7 districts. Normal rain is expected in the remaining districts (except Jaisalmer).
Half of Jaipur is raining, half of the city is dry
There was heavy rain in the capital Jaipur after 1 pm on Sunday. The rain that lasted for about 15 minutes gave relief to people from the heat and humidity. There was scattered rain in Jaipur on Sunday afternoon. There was heavy rain in the areas of Sodalala, Ajmer Road, Malviya Nagar, Jawahar Circle, Jhalana of the city. At the same time, parts of the old city remained dry.
Water filled on the road in Alwar, traffic jam situation
It rained in Alwar city at around 2 pm. After the rain, dirty water accumulated on the road at RR College Circle near Kali Mori culvert. Due to this people had to face problems. Due to waterlogging on the road, a traffic jam situation was created.
Waterlogging near Mehandipur Balaji temple, devotees troubled
There was heavy rain for about 15 minutes on Sunday afternoon in the area around Mehndipur Balaji in Dausa district. During this time, the road near Balaji temple got flooded. Due to this, the devotees had to face problems. In the rural areas, after the rain, the farmers have started sowing millet.
Heavy rain for 30 minutes in Karauli
The weather changed in Karauli on Sunday afternoon and dark clouds covered the sky. After this, it rained heavily for about 30 minutes. Due to the rain, water flowed on the roads and streets. The highway was flooded in the old Collectorate crossing and Magazine area. Due to this, pedestrians and drivers also had to face problems.
The maximum temperature dropped due to change in weather
Due to the change in weather, the maximum temperature has also dropped by one or two degrees. Earlier on Saturday, Dholpur, Bharatpur received 6 inches of rain. Apart from these, Bikaner, Nagaur, Churu also received heavy rains. If we look at the report of the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 145 mm was recorded in Basedi town of Dholpur district.
Due to heavy rains, fields are filled with water in many areas
Due to heavy rain, many places in Baseri town were flooded. Apart from Baseri, 104 mm of rain fell in Bari. Here, heavy rain also fell in Uchhain, Deeg, Nagar, Kaman, Kumher, hilly areas of Bharatpur. More than 100 mm of rain was recorded in Deeg and Nagar town. Farmers have suffered losses due to heavy rain in the last two days in many districts including Alwar, Bharatpur. Here, fields have been flooded in many areas.
The rainy season will continue for the next three days
On July 1, an orange alert has been issued for very heavy rain in Alwar, Karauli, Bharatpur, Dholpur, while a yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued in Sawai Madhopur, Dausa, Jaipur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Baran districts. While there is an alert for light to moderate rain in the remaining districts (except Jaisalmer).
